Whole Foods Market is introducing over 141 staple UK brands to its seven London stores in the coming months after they passed its approval process.
The new products, including Cathedral City cheddar, Weetabix and McVitie’s biscuits have passed the organic food retailer’s quality food standards, which prohibit over 230 preservatives, flavours, colours and sweeteners.
The items will start rolling out in stores from this month, increasing throughout 2024.

The launch of the products, which Whole Foods has said are “competitively priced with major retailers”, forms part of the retailer’s mission to provide customers with a more value-driven and varied shop.
Whole Foods Market UK director of purchasing and distribution Jade Hoai said: “We are constantly reviewing our offering at Whole Foods Market to ensure we are providing our customers the best experience possible.
“We want to ensure we remain a trusted location for shoppers to come and do their weekly shop, knowing that all products in-store have passed our rigorous quality standards.”
Last October, the retailer began expanding it’s range of value products and advertised them under the label ‘Low Prices, Same High Standards ’as it looked to widen its appeal to customers.
