Farmison & Co relaunches click and collect in time for Christmas

Sustainable online butcher Farmison & Co is relaunching its Ripon butchers counter and click and collect points.

The re-opening of its ‘Cut by Farmison’ initiative comes ahead of the festive period, allowing shoppers to buy a full Christmas range in-store or online through in-store pickup.

Led by new chief executive officer Andy Adcock, the re-launch is the next step in the online meat retailer’s plan to re-energise the business.

Among other schemes, Farmison has introduced a new arrangement to supply Harrod’s The Grill and Foodhall with exclusive beef reared across Lincolnshire, Shropshire and Yorkshire.

Other partnerships include the extension of its London pilot with rapid delivery service GoPuff, and the launch of a collaboration with ‘Fish for Thought’ marking the butcher’s first entry into the fish market.

Adcock said: “Because it’s rooted in a clear principle to help and encourage consumers eat better meat, this business has always had significant potential.

“Our work to bring new energy to Farmison over the last six months has only made that view stronger and because of those efforts, we can now look forward to moving on to the next stage of our plan – returning Farmison to sustainable growth in the months and years ahead.

“While there’s still much to do, I’d like to thank the team here in Ripon for the outstanding way in which they’ve put their heart and soul into re-energising the business. It’s a privilege to join and work alongside them.”

The re-energising of the company follows the collapse of the online butcher earlier this year before it was rescued by investors.
