Aldi invests £12m to lower prices before Christmas

Aldi is investing £12 million into lowering the prices of over 180 products in the run-up to Christmas.

Festive favourites that have seen their prices lowered by an average of 20%, include stuffing, chocolate and prosecco, as well as many of its frozen party food range.

It comes amid the discounter lowering the prices of almost 300 products in the past few months as part of its ‘Christmas Price Lock’ initiative.

Key food staples include turkey crowns, pigs in blankets, Christmas pudding and festive vegetables. all of which remain the same price as they were in 2022.

Aldi managing direct of buying Julie Ashfield said: “This latest investment is part of our continued efforts to make great quality food affordable for all, from party food treats to iconic Christmas essentials.

“We want everyone to be able to enjoy the festive season, so we’re doing all we can to keep our prices low this Christmas – just as we always do.”
