Tesco rolls out Ikea pick-up points in store car parks

Tesco will add more than 70 new Ikea pick-up points in store car parks for shoppers to collect their online orders from the furniture giant.

It follows the pilot launch of the scheme last year, where 12 mobile Ikea pick-up points were trialled in locations including Cambridge and Liverpool.

The 70 new click-and-collect stations will be located in different regions in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and should be operational by autumn 2024.

Orders over £100 are free to collect with a £5 fee for parcels under that threshold.

Ikea UK country customers fulfilment manager Jacob Bertilsson said: “This national roll-out of mobile pick-up points is an exciting milestone in our partnership with Tesco, which will bring us closer to people across all parts of the UK.

“As customer shopping behaviours change and evolve, we will continue to grow our service offer to make shopping with Ikea more convenient, accessible, and affordable than ever before.”
