Nisa appoints new director of retail and sales

Nisa has appointed Katie Secretan to its senior leadership team as director of sales and retail to help it become “the wholesale partner of choice”.

From mid-January 2024 Secretan will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business and will be accountable for growth objectives through recruitment and retention across Nisa’s retail and wholesale partners.

Secretan joins the symbol group from the Post Office where she held multiple roles including retail transformation director.

During the past three years at the Post Office, she developed and delivered a two-year franchise business plan, creating a new business unit and operating model.

Prior to this Secretan also worked as director of retail franchise and corporate partnerships for Costa Coffee.

Nisa managing director Peter Batt said she would play an integral role in Nisa’s plans to become “the wholesale partner of choice”.

“Our retailers are at the heart of the decisions we make, and the experience Katie will bring, along with the work she’ll be leading, are going to be instrumental in how we deliver our long-term ambitions.”

Secretan added: “My priority will be to lead the commercial strategy and deliver on the ambitious growth plans, with the support of the wider Co-op Group, this will be a very exciting time for the wholesale retail market.”

Last month, Nisa promoted Kim Clarkson to head of senior partner services to develop the retailer’s supply chain, logistics, stock control and partner support services.
