Iceland is cutting the price of over 1,000 products as part of its commitment to invest £26m annually to support families during the cost-of-living crisis.
This marks the highest number of price cut grocery and household items by any UK supermarket this year.
Reduced items include weekly shop essentials such as Lurpak Lighter Spreadable butter priced at £2.75, down from £4, Aunt Bessie’s Roasties at £1.50 and Iceland own-brand chicken thigh fillets down 50p to £6.
In addition, the frozen food retailer has doubled its range of £1 frozen easy tea solutions, which now features its own-brand 12 chicken nuggets, 10 breaded fillet fish fingers, fish pie and penne carbonara.

In July, Iceland cut the price of 500 grocery essentials including Youngs Fish Fingers, Nescafe Coffee and Heinz spaghetti in tomato sauce.
In August, the supermarket slashed the price of a further 200 products including Richmond Sausages, Greggs cheese and onion bakes, and Persil three in one washing capsules.
Speaking of the latest cuts, Iceland Foods executive chairman, Richard Walker, said: “The cost-of-living crisis still very much has families in its grip.
“That’s why we’re committed to keeping prices low across items that our customers actually need. In just two months, we’ve doubled the number of price-slashed products and greatly expanded our range of £1 items. It’s our priority to support our customers in any way we can and offer great value when they need it most.”
This comes as Amazon is set to launch Iceland Foods products on its UK site after the companies signed a new deal.
The items will initially be rolling out in some parts of Greater Manchester, however, these will also be available in other areas in coming months.
