Morrisons launches eighth round of price cuts this year on 170 products

Morrisons has rolled out its eighth round of price cuts this year on 170 products, adding to over 1,000 prices that have already been locked or lowered.

Throughout September, the supermarket giant has also launched ‘More Month’ – an initiative that will see More Card customers accessing an average discount of over 30% on cupboard staples including breakfast cereals and lunchbox fillers, both online and in-store.

More Card exclusive offers have been extended to Morrisons petrol filling stations on items such as confectionery pouches ahead of Halloween and Christmas.

Extra ‘More Points’ will be available to customers on a range of branded products for the first time, as well as a wider selection of own-brand items.

When 5,000 points have been saved, shoppers will receive a ‘Morrisons Fiver’ which can be redeemed on a future shop across items such as coke, Dolmio sauces, Huggies Dtynites, selected wines and British beef meatballs.

Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer, Rachel Eyre, said: “Customers tell us that September is an opportunity to ‘reset’ and try new routines after the expensive summer months.

“We also know that saving for Christmas is already on their minds and so we have launched ‘More Month’ to help. We’ve added industry leading exclusive offers to items our customers buy weekly as well as products to stock up on ahead of the festive season.”
