Ocado cuts prices of 200 more items

Ocado is cutting the price of a further 200 branded and own-label items as part of its Big Price Drop.

The ‘back to school’ initiative looks to help parents save as the summer holidays come to an end, with product prices reduced by an average of 8%.

Heinz Beans have been reduced by 25p to £3.75, Walkers Ready Salted Crisps and Ocado own-range easy peelers are both down by 10p, and Copella Apple Juice has seen a 29% reduction from £2.80 to £2.

Snackable items included in the cuts such as fruit have also been reduced in price by an average of 10%.

This follows the online-only grocer’s price cuts in June across more than 100 branded, own-label and M&S everyday essential items such as butter, cheese and bread.

Ocado Retail CEO, Hannah Gibson, said: “Ocado is known for our amazing service and unbeatable choice – and delivering great value is just as important to us.

“Many of the products we’ve reduced today will help with those back-to-school shops and include big name brands, Ocado Own-Range and M&S items too. We’re committed to offering our customers reassuringly good value and are working hard to add more products to the Big Price Drop soon.”
