Nisa partners with Just Eat to offer rapid grocery delivery

Nisa has partnered with Just Eat to launch an on-demand online delivery partnership to increase customer access to quick convenience shopping.

Through the tie-up, consumers will be able to order items from participating Nisa stores for speedy delivery in as little as under 30 minutes via the Just Eat app and website.

Thousands of household brand and own-label products will be available, such as bread, milk, meals, sweet treats and store cupboard essentials, which are picked fresh from local stores.

Nisa retailers will be provided with in-store marketing support, including shelf talkers, posters, window and door stickers, as well as a dedicated telephone support team.

Nisa chief operating officer, John McNeill, said: “Nisa stores provide a quick and easy retail offering to communities across the UK so to team up with Just Eat to provide another platform for delivery was an obvious decision to make.

“With home delivery now forming a crucial part of many convenience businesses and making up a core part of the customer offer, we wanted to ensure we were providing our retailers with as many options as possible to increase sales opportunities from this avenue.”

Just Eat UK strategic accounts director, Amy Heather, added: “The partnership further demonstrates our commitment to offering our customers access to a wide range of grocery and convenience options – all delivered to their home within minutes.

“We know that Nisa will be a popular addition to our convenience offering, by providing communities with fast access to a variety of products, from everyday essentials to late night treats.”

The news comes off the back of Co-op’s partnership with Just Eat, which looks to deliver from nearly 1,000 stores by the end of May as it increases its online availability.

Iceland had also collaborated with Just Eat in March to offer its customers a rapid grocery delivery service from more than 200 stores while Sainsbury’s now provides the service from over 175 stores.
