Confectionary brand, Monty Bojangles has received the first ever King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, recognising its short-term growth.

The award comes as a result of the company’s overall sales having achieved growth of 190% over the past three years.

Monty Bojangles will be able to use the emblem for the next five years and is one of 148 organisations nationally to be recognised for the reward, which was previously known as the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

“We are passionate about exporting our products, brand, and enthusiasm to the rest of the world. Where we have broken through, we have seen our product thrive in new market areas and passionately believe that we will continue to grow our reach throughout the world and benefit the UK though greater exports,” Monty Bojangles founder and MD, Andrew Newlands said.

“The knowledge and experience that we’ve gained from overseas visits, retailer and distributor partnerships and trade shows is irreplaceable, and continues to inspire our creativity and passion.”

In 2018, Monty Bojangles won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, and Newlands added that “it is an honour to have been awarded the prestigious title once again.”
