Asda has reintroduced its ‘First Scan Bonus’ for first time users of its loyalty programme, Asda Rewards.
This comes following the success of the scheme, which first launched in February, and saw over £2 million earned through the Rewards app across hundreds of thousands of customers.
New users will be able to use the ‘First Scan Bonus’ by downloading Asda Rewards, creating an account and scanning the app for the first time to receive a £5 Cashpot top-up.

The bonus is set to run from 12 April to 3 May, available both in-store and online with no minimum spend required.
Customers that have previously downloaded the app but are yet to scan for the first time will also benefit from the bonus.
At the start of April, the Big 4 grocer increased the number of personalised missions that users will have access to and in January, extended the period that shoppers have to spend a voucher after creating it in the app, from one to three months.
As a result, customers who like to build up their Cashpots for special occasions will have longer to use their vouchers.
