Asda, Lidl and Morrisons have begun to lessen the current purchase limits across select fruit and vegetables as supply chain issues start to ease.
Discount grocer Lidl, which has been limiting peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers to three per customer, has confirmed to Grocery Gazette that all restrictions will be lifted by Monday.
According to reporting by Sky News, Asda has taken away the limits that it had on cucumbers, lettuce, salad bags, broccoli cauliflower and raspberries.
However, rationing remains on tomatoes and peppers, with customers able to purchase three of each.
At Morrisons, restrictions have also been lifted on cucumbers, however shoppers can only buy up to two items per person across tomatoes, lettuce and peppers.

When the crisis hit its peak last month, Tesco, Aldi and Lidl joined Asda and Morrisons in applying purchase limits to a selection of fresh produce.
While the shortages have largely been attributed to extrmeme weather affecting harvests in Spain and North Africa, British farms have also suffered as growers cut back due to the rocketing costs of heating greenhouses.
However, speaking with Grocery Gazette earlier this month, Save British Farming chair Liz Webster said that Brexit has had a large part to play in the current shortages and that she was calling on the government a year ago to free up trade again.
“It was obvious it was going to cause food shortages because farmers were struggling to afford fertiliser”, she said, adding that the prices are “ludicrous.”
“Because we have difficult weather here and a short growing season, we know that in order for domestic supply to withstand competition from warmer climates with more land, the government has to intervene to protect British agriculture.”
