Cadbury, Birds Eye and Walkers have been named the top ranked food brands in the UK, new research suggests.
According to YouGov’s 2023 FMCG rankings report, the ‘Food’ category saw Cadbury taking first place with a consideration score of 57.3.
Cathedral City, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Heinz Beanz, Kit Kat, Weetabix, Malteasers and McCain also made the top 10.

The ranking uses the YouGov BrandIndex as a benchmark for FMCG brands across 18 international markers, scoring each based on consumer consideration.
Across the Food category’s top ‘Improver’ list, Richmond ranked in first position with a change in score of 1.4 to 20.
Haribo came in at second, followed by Doritos, Mini Cheddars, Werther’s Original, Ferrero Rocher, Maoam, Kinder, McCoy’s and Maryland.
Across beverages, Robinsons was the highest perfoming brand with a score of 33.6, while improvers for the category included San Pellegrino, Coca-Cola Zero with a 2.1 change, as well as Evian, Pepsi Max and Sprite.
For personal care, Colgate, Dove, Oral-B and Nivea ranked the most highly, each with scores of 30 and above.
Nivea was also considered the top impover brand with a 2.1 change to 30.
This comes as top ranked food brand, Cadbury recently expanded its offerings, having launched its first-ever range of non-high in fat, salt or sugar (non-HFSS) treats, Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruitier and Nuttier.
