Asda brings online grocery business inhouse

Asda is set to transfrom its online grocery business, transitioning to a new state-of-the-art digital platform.

The new model will be created before April 2024 by digital business transformation company, Publicis Sapient and allows Asda independence from former owner Walmart, and its managed systems that the Big 4 grocer currently uses.

The partnership has described the future platform as an ‘agile operating model that will create exponential value in terms of customer experience.’

As part of the transformation programme, Publicis Sapient has already built and implemented Asda’s new email marketing solution tool using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
