Ocado to roll out Crave snacks for Veganuary

Ocado is set to expand its plant-based range for Veganuary, rolling out Crave snacks across its online store.

Having recently won the store cupboard episode of Channel 4’s Aldi’s Next Big Thing, Crave’s latest listing in Ocado will see its vegan Pickled Onion Monster Feet and Smokey Bacon Flavoured Streakers available at RRP £1.80 for an 80g sharing bag.

“The Ocado listing is a great finish to the year for Crave, we are so thrilled with the consumer and retailer response to our snacks. This listing will widen our customer base and mean that more people will have access to Crave’s vegan and free from snacks,” Crave founder, Rob Brice said.

“We are all about inclusivity at Crave, we think crisps should be about maximum taste and sharing with friends and family, so we are striving to make free-from mainstream and flavour focussed, rather than hard to find or bland and boring.”

Brice added that Crave is looking to expand its range of products in 2023 as “some super iconic products will be given the Crave twist.”

Ocado Retail free from buying manager, Charmaine Trotman said: “We’re delighted to be adding Crave’s vegan snacks to Ocado.com – just in time for Veganuary.

“With a larger range of vegan products than any UK supermarket, we’re excited that our customers will be able to get their hands on Crave’s tasty products as part of their regular food shop.”

This comes as Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose are set to stock This plant-based ‘Isn’t Streaky Bacon’ in time for the annual Veganuary challenge and plant-based chicken brand Tindle is set to launch three new products across Morrisons stores.
