Iceland unveils exclusive Branston and Cathedral City party snacks

Iceland has launched exclusive Branston and Cathedral City party snacks as part of the pickle brand’s 100 year anniversary celebrations.

The frozen food retailer is selling The Cathedral City Cheesy Branston Bites from today, consisting of breaded cheddar and mozzarella cheese balls loaded with a smooth Branston pickle filling.

Quick and easy to prepare in an air fryer or multi-oven, the bites are also a great way to save energy whilst cooking, minimising the use of an oven.

Originating 100 years ago in the village of Branston, Staffordshire, the iconic British condiment has partnered with the award-winning cheese brand to deliver the “ultimate” pairing this Christmas.

In a collaboration with the Cathdral City, Branston launched the brand-new product in time for the festive season that is set to “bring a taste of home,” the brand said.

The product has been designed to be part of a party food or a warming afternoon snack.

Cathedral City has been crafting its famous cheese for over 50 years and the Branston Bites come as part of its exclusive range with Iceland.

“We know Branston pickle is an iconic kitchen staple for homes across the UK and Christmas is a time when families get together and often enjoy a classic cheese board and a range of unique festive foods,” Branston senior brand manager, Angharad Wilson Dyer Gough said.

“In our 100th year, we’re so excited to have teamed up with Cathedral City to create the perfect addition to any celebration, think the famous tangy hit of Branston, with the creamy, smooth flavour of Cathedral City,” they added.

The news comes as Iceland has partnered with Noddy Holder to launch a Christmas campaign, giving away £5,000 in vouchers.
