As part of the final step of its certification process, This legally changed its company articles to reflect its commitment to purpose beyond profit and is set to roll out the certification across its packaging in coming months.
“When Pete and I started the business we knew we wanted to create something that did things differently,” This co-founder, Andy Shovel said.
“From how we operate as a brand, to how we create our products – this has been our focus. Earning B Corp status is an essential part of that plan. It’s a seal of approval on us being socially and environmentally responsible.”
This added that the certification will play a large role in its business strategy through its new phase of growth in 2023.
Earlier this month, the plant-based meat businesses also re-launched its ‘Isn’t Pork Pigs in Blankets’ in time for the festive period.
Deisgned to encourage more meat eaters to trial and adopt a meat-free version of the Christmas dinner staple, the ‘hyper-realistic’ Pigs in Blankets are launching in leading retailers Tesco and Waitrose.
