Plant-based brand This is set to re-launch its ‘Isn’t Pork Pigs in Blankets’ in time for the festive period.
Deisgned to encourage more meat eaters to trial and adopt a meat-free version of the Christmas dinner staple, the ‘hyper-realistic’ Pigs in Blankets are launching in leading retailers Tesco and Waitrose from early December.
Made using This’ mix of pea and soya protein, combining its bacon and mini sausages, the product priced at £4.50 contains 75% less saturated fat than the average meat equivalent, as well as being high in protein and a source of fibre.

“Our pigs in blankets are back by popular demand. They’re proof you don’t need meat to have a decent festive spread,” This co-founder, Andy Shovel said.
This comes as the brand launched a trio of ready meals at Big 4 grocer Tesco in September including plant-based, meat-free meals such as This™ Isn’t Pork Meatballs and Spaghetti, This™ Isn’t Chicken Thai Green Curry and This™ Isn’t Pork Sausages and Mash.
Last week, This also uneviled its partnership with Greggs which has seen its Vegan Turkey-Free Stuffing Baguette rolled out across all 2,200 of its shops in the UK.
The collaboration aims to answer the growing demand for plant-based food, with 49% of British consumers cutting down on meat.
