Cadbury Creme Egg campaign to roll out alongside new white chocolate format

Mondelēz is set to roll out its Cadbury Creme Egg advertising campaign as it launches a new white chocolate variant.

This years “How Do You Not Eat Yours?” campaign will see half milk chocolate and half white chocolate Creme Eggs rolling out across supermarket shelves as shoppers have the chance to win up to £10,000.

Over 20 Amazon vouchers will also be in the draw, with a top prize of £1,000.

Launching across social media, via digital, outdoor and point-of-sale, the latest campaign also coincides with the launch of the brand’s Cadbury White Creme Egg as well as 1kg bags of Cadbury Mini Eggs.

“We were absolutely blown away by the response to our ‘How Do You Not Eat Yours?’ campaign last year,” Cadbury Creme Egg brand manager, Lyndsey Homer told Talking Retail.

“Cadbury Creme Eggs have been an icon of the season for more than half a century and they are purchased four times more than the average Easter product.

“White chocolate is growing fast in the category, so in combination with the number one Easter brand, this is set to be a truly incremental new product.”

This comes as Cadbury confirmed earlier this month that it was facing supply chain issues, forcing it to remove mini-Twirls from some Heroes chocolate boxes and replacing them with two full-sized chocolate bars.

Just before the Christmas period, a spokesperson for Mondelez said it has been facing the “same challenges” that many other companies have reported in recent months.
