Tesco adds LoveRaw plant-based chocolates to meal deal offerings

Leading retailer Tesco is adding three products from plant-based chocolate brand, LoveRaw to its meal deal offerings.

LoveRaw’s biggest ever listing, its Milk Choc Wafer, White Choc Wafer and Milk Choc Peanut Butter Cups are set to roll out across 1,800 Tesco Express and Extra stores from 7 November.

Priced individually at £1.49, these will also be available within the Big 4 grocers meal deal, which alongside a sandwich and drink is set to cost £3.90 or £3.40 for Clubcard members.

While the vegan chocolate can also be found at grocery retailers including Waitrose, Ocado, Co-op, Whole Foods and Holland & Barrett, this is the first time LoveRaw has secured a meal deal listing, which it hopes will help it to reach millions of new consumers.

“Our mission is to create the best-tasting plant-based chocolate products and this latest listing – our biggest yet – is a massive endorsement of the quality and growing popularity of LoveRaw,” co-founder, Rimi Thapar said.

“We’re proud that we’re able to make more of our products accessible to more and more people – not just those who follow plant-based diets. We have shown that our chocolate tastes just as good as dairy, with no compromise.”

This news comes following the launch of LoveRaw’s Choc, Milkshake, Cookie, and Doughnut Mix Kits gift sets which launched in Tesco, Morrisons, Boots and Booths stores last month, in time for the run up to Christmas.

The gift sets contain DIY kits such as doughnut moulds, mugs and a reusable LoveRaw mason jar, as well as an assortment of its plant-based chocolates.
