Morrisons launches Christmas Collector scheme to help shoppers save

Morrisons is set to re-launch its Christmas Collector programme in a bid to help its customers save throughout the run up to the big day.

Rolling out for app and card users on 7 November, at the end of the five week scheme, shoppers will be able to receive a money-off voucher if they have met the criteria and shopped in four of the relevant weeks.

As a result, customers can then spend the ‘bonus’ voucher from 12 December until 3 January 2023.

Those using a loyalty card instead of the grocery retailers app will have the opportunity to redeem four weekly coupons from 14 November, which if completed will enable them to receive a bonus money-off voucher.

Alongside the programme, exclusive offers and promotions will be available for My Morrisons members, including this weeks two for £6 deal across its chocolate confectionary tubs.

Morrisons Basket Bonus has also been tailored to the Christmas festivities, with customers in with the chance to ‘bag a bonus’ offer such as mince pies, a festive coffee or money off a shop when they have scanned the app or swiped their card.

Across the supermarkets cafés, My Morrisons app users can take part in the ‘buy 4 get the 5th free’ hot drinks scheme and when scanning their digital loyalty card, customers can now add this into their Apple of Google Wallet.

“We know that our customers are under real financial pressure right now and want to play our part in helping them when it comes to the cost of the festive grocery shop,” Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer, Rachel Eyre said.

“Customers have told us they appreciated our Easter and Summer Collector schemes and so we are pleased to be bringing it back for Christmas once again. The addition of My Morrisons Exclusives means we are offering loyal customers even more value.”

Non of the staff in our local morrisons have much idea of how the “Christmas collector” works, and as a result I couldn’t get my coupon validated.

£175 per week is absolutely ridiculous in this current financial climate to receive a Christmas bonus. I’d be surprised if many families on low incomes could manage that amount.
