Aldi has announced it is to create around 3,000 jobs ahead of the festive period, as it gears up for its “biggest-ever Christmas”, while also confirming all stores will remain closed on Boxing Day.
According to the discount grocer, it is aiming to fill over 2,000 temporary and full-time store positions to help replenish stock and provide additional assistance to customers.
A further 850 roles will also be created across its 11 regional distribution centres, including warehouse selectors, logistics assistants and lorry drivers.
The news comes as the discount grocer also announced that it will be shutting its doors on Boxing Day as a “thank you” to its employees for their hard work.
“This year we’re recruiting more people than ever over the Christmas period to support the growing number of customers that are switching to Aldi,” Aldi UK recruitment director Kelly Stokes said.
“That includes a mix of temporary and permanent positions, as well as looking to fill both in-store roles and positions at our regional distribution centres.
