Asda has expanded its selection of crisp and snack manufacturer, Tayto Groups products in 50 of its stores across Scotland.
The roll out comes in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Tayto brand, Golden Wonder. To mark the milestone, two new Golden Wonder Ringos Puffs flavours, Barbeque and Sweet Chilli are now available via the Big 4 grocer.
Golden Wonder is also bringing back three of its consumer-favourite 6-pack crisp products including Beef & Onion, Chip Shop Curry and Cheese & Onion, all of which will feature the brand’s original 1970’s packaging design.
Looking to appeal to consumers who are more health-conscious when considering the snacks they buy, the brand’s new Ringos Puffs flavours have been developed to be a healthier option with a reduced fat and salt content.
Commenting on the snacks, Golden Wonder marketing director, Matt Smith said: “Using innovative flavour technology, Golden Wonder has created a product with less salt and fat which doesn’t compromise on taste.”
Asda buying manager for NI Local, Cathy Elliott added: “The commitment of Tayto in celebrating the 75th anniversary of Golden Wonder with nostalgic flavours is something we are very excited to be able to offer our Asda shoppers in Scotland.
“We are also delighted to offer additional variety with a healthier snack option that is lower in fat, salt and sugar. Happy Birthday Golden Wonder.”
