Waitrose has expanded its rapid grocery delivery range with over 2,000 lines now being available on Deliveroo.
More than doubling its number of products already available on the food delivery app, the supermarket company’s online trading lead, Tom Richards posted to LinkedIn last week saying that “ Waitrose have had a busy week on Deliveroo”.
As well as its product expansion, in April, Waitrose announced that it would introduce 70 new Deliveroo collection locations by the summer across almost 30 towns and cities.

This would increase the partnership’s pick-up points to 220 nationwide – across more than two-thirds of the supermarket’s stores.
“It’s important that we continue to evolve along with shopping behaviour to give our customers more options for how and when they want to shop with us,” Waitrose executive director, James Bailey said.
“Deliveroo has given us more flexibility in meeting customers’ needs and expanding our successful partnership to trial ‘Hop’ gives us an exciting opportunity to introduce more new customers to the excellent food and drink we offer.”
Deliveroo chief business officer UK&I, Carlo Mocci added: “Deliveroo Hop complements our existing on-demand grocery service and will build on our successful partnership with Waitrose, improving the consumer experience and bringing a wide range of groceries and household products to consumers’ doors in as little as 10 minutes.”
