Asda has opened its brand-new convenience store located in Livingston, Scotland which is set to provide 140 lines from local Scottish suppliers.
In continuing to increase its presence in roadside and neighborhood locations, the Big 4 grocer has partnered once again with independent retailer EG Group to create its 36th convenience store.
The partners, both owned by the Issa brother’s, have an aim of launching up to 300 convenience stores in the future.
The Asda on the Move store will operate in a fuel forecourt convenience format, featuring over 2,500 products including own-brand items.

A Leon self-serve coffee kiosk will also be available to customers, the fourth to be placed in Scotland.
“The launch of our first Scottish Asda on the Move store is a milestone in our convenience journey, as we build on our strategy to bring essential Asda products to more convenient locations through our partnership with EG Group,” Asda senior director for wholesale and convenience, Georgina Cokill said.
“Customers in Livingston can now benefit from our strengths in grocery retail alongside EG’s experience in creating a compelling convenience store offer that brings great-quality products and services together, to make it easier for customers to shop on the go.”
