Sainsbury’s expands Deliveroo partnership

Sainsbury’s has announced a further 65 stores are now available on food delivery app Deliveroo, offering customers over 1,500 products on demand.

The new locations include Winchester, Marlow, Barking, Loughborough, Watford and Lancaster, allowing customers to receive their groceries in as “little as 20 minutes”.

The new stores build on the Big 4 grocer‘s partnership with Deliveroo which was first announced in 2020 and brings the total number of Sainsbury’s stores on the platform to 336.

“With more and more shoppers looking for convenient and affordable food and grocery products from Sainsbury’s delivered to their doors, we’re pleased to be expanding our partnership with Deliveroo to even more locations, helping to make it as quick and easy as possible for our customers to shop with us,” Sainsbury’s director channel strategy Matthew Roberts said.

Deliveroo UK&I chief business officer Carlo Mocci added: “We’re able to offer Sainsbury’s customers a huge amount of choice and great  convenience, with over 1,500 items ready to be delivered to your door within minutes.”

“As people continue to change the way they shop, including on-demand grocery delivery as part of their regular shop, we’re pleased to be bringing this choice to even more households across the UK.”
