Asda has launched two plant-based cookie flavours in a bid to expand its vegan range to the bakery.
The cookies come in packs of four of double chocolate chip and chocolate chip and retail at £1.50.
Additionally, the baked goods have been approved by The Vegan Society trademark, confirming they are free of animal ingredients.

Fans of the double chocolate chip cookie shared their approval online stating it had a “good texture and tasted fresh,” and were, “easily the best in-store bakery vegan cookies”.
The expansion comes as Asda was named Vegan Retailer of the Year in November 2021 by the Quality Food Award.
In September 2021, Asda became the first supermarket to launch an ambient vegan aisle, which offered accessible and affordable plant-based ingredients and products.
Furthermore, The Big 4 grocer previously opened a low-waste sustainability store and trialled an in-store vegan butcher counter.
The launch comes during the “biggest” Veganuary to date, with 600,000 pledging to try a plant-based diet in 2022.
