Aldi has announced a £24 million investment in opening new branches in Scotland, which will create hundreds of new jobs in the region.
Three new stores will open across Scotland, including two in Aberdeen at Countesswells Road and Harness Road and one at Greendykes Road in Broxburn.
The discount retailer has confirmed the store openings will create 150 new jobs for their local areas taking their total employees to nearly 3,500 by the end of the year.

The news comes as the grocer recently launched their 100th stores in Edinburgh Hermiston Gait.
Following this milestone, Aldi managing director for Scotland Richard Holloway said the prospects for 2022 were “very exciting” and the that the supermarket was committed to further investment in the country.
Holloway added: “During the course of 2021, we have invested £36 million in new store locations and in the next two years we will invest an additional £55 million in new stores and extensions, with a further nine stores planned.”
Last year, Aldi met their target of working with over 90 Scottish producers and 450 items of locally sourced food and drink which is set to increase to 500 over 2022-2023.
The retailer has also said it will continue supporting the Scottish brewing industry this year and will offer support to local food banks and supermarket sweep initiatives.
