James Hall and Co has opened the doors to its 150th Spar store in Wentworth Street, Wakefield.
The location, which used to be a “derelict” garage forecourt, has been renovated to accommodate the “spacious, well-lit” convenience store.
The outlet joins the Lancashire-based business’s estate of retail, food and manufacturing enterprises.
The convenience retailer will be open from 7am until 10pm each day, and includes a variety of food-to-go, bakery products and hot beverages.

“[It] has completely changed the environment in the Wentworth area of the town.
“It offers the community in Wakefield a brilliant range of services and products at competitive prices too.
“We look forward to welcoming Wakefield residents into the store.”
