“Our first retail launch into chicken products is a significant area of growth for the business,” Meatless Farm UK and Ireland managing director Michael Hunter said.

“To secure another listing from the UK’s largest food retailer, Tesco, shows that plant-based food is no longer a challenger category, but fast becoming part of daily British food culture as we become more concerned about health and the environment.”

The move follows Meatless Farm’s partnership with Real Madrid Football Club to promote sustainable eating and educate customers about climate change.

The vegan food brand will be working with Real Madrid’s nutritionists to experiment and promote the use of plant-based foods within a performance-based diet.
