The Salford New Bailey Square Local store is stocked with freshly baked goods, orange juice and Costa Coffee machines, alongside a wide selection of grocery and household products.

The store has hired 18 staff members to run the site and will be open 7am until 11pm from Monday to Sunday.

The Big 4 grocer also announced that it will be supporting local charities, including Salford Women’s Aid, Wood Street Mission and Salford Food Bank.

“We are delighted to be opening a new Local store in such a vibrant and exciting area of Salford,” Sainsbury’s property director Patrick Dunne said.
