Sainsbury’s launches Hamilton store

Sainsbury’s has announced the launch of a new store in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.  

The Sainsbury’s Local includes 2300 square feet of floor space and a wide range of products, as well as a Costa Coffee machine for customers to enjoy.  

It will be open from 7am-11pm each day and run by 20 employees.   

The Big 4 grocer will also continue its partnership with several local charities it has been supporting, including EK Community, Hamilton Local Foodbank and Clyde, Avon & Nethan Food Bank.

“We’re proud to be opening a new convenience store for the Hamilton community and expanding our store estate in Scotland,” Sainsbury’s property director Patrick Dunne said. 

“I want to thank our brilliant colleagues for all their hard work in getting the store ready to welcome customers through the doors.” 

Sainsbury’s Hamilton Portland Place store manager Ben Hinchliffe added: “The store looks fantastic and our team of colleagues can’t wait to welcome and serve customers, providing them with great quality and value.”
