International sushi franchise KellyDeli has opened its 100th Sushi Daily counter in Waitrose sites across the UK.
The food company already has over 1,000 fresh sushi counters in 12 countries, with UK counters located in selected Waitrose and Asda stores.
As a result, a new opening in Chester’s Waitrose store in Boughton marked the franchise’s 100th counter with the supermarket giant.
Providing an alternative to regular grab-and-go convenience food, Sushi Daily offers an open kitchen experience, where customers can watch sushi artisans in action preparing the ingredients.

“It’s fantastic news that Sushi Daily has reached the milestone of its 100th kiosk at Waitrose with the opening of its latest counter in Chester at the Waitrose store in Boughton Road,” Waitrose partner and senior business manager of concessions Kelly Gleeson said.
“This is a special moment and celebrates our longstanding partnership with KellyDeli, owner of the Sushi Daily franchise. Japanese cuisine is so popular in the UK and offering our customers access to Sushi Daily’s freshly made products, crafted by its artisans, adds an exciting sense of theatre to our customer experience.”
KellyDeli managing director Ian Roberts added: “It’s a real pleasure to be opening our 100th counter in Waitrose & Partners supermarkets across the UK.
“This is a huge milestone for us and one that symbolises the success of our long-lived, rewarding relationship with Waitrose.
“The rise in popularity of sushi is not showing any signs of slowing down so we’re excited to see what the future holds.”
