Swiss chocolate maker Lindt has become the latest brand to temporarily suspend business activities in Russia, over the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
Lindt revealed it will stop supplying chocolates to Russia, joining hundreds of other companies in suspending its business.
Lindt said in a statement that it had “re-evaluated” its business activities in Russia and decided to temporarily close its shops with immediate effects and suspend all of our deliveries to Russia.

The company pledged “Our local employees will continue to receive our support and we will remain in close contact with them”.
The news comes as Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and FMCG giant Unilever all paused their operations in Russia, following threats of consumer boycotts.
Prior to Coca-Cola’s decision to cease trading, many angry customers taking to social media to express their anger, and questioned why Coca-Cola did not cease trading earlier.
Dragons Den star Deborah Meaden, who pleaded: “Can you stop drinking Coca Cola please. They are refusing to withdraw from Russia. Let’s show them some people power.”
