The Gym Kitchen is launching a new range of frozen and chilled high-protein meals across Tesco and Sainsbury’s this month.

The brand’s high-protein buffalo mac & cheese, BBQ and pesto chicken pasta have landed at Tesco stores.

The Gym Kitchen will offer its Thai Red chicken curry and Sweet Chilli chicken noodles in Sainsbury’s chilled aisles later on this month.

The business has expanded into a ‘pan-cooked from frozen’ format into The Gym Kitchen range, which provides two servings in each 700g pack and delivers 64g protein per pack.

The range was designed to be simple and convenient to cook, with the meals being able to be prepared in under 15 minutes.

The Gym Kitchen founder, Segun Akinwoleola, said: “Bringing exciting new flavours and formats to functional food is something we’re proud to lead from the front on at The Gym Kitchen, and we’re excited to expand our footprint across multiple retailers and channels.

“Our new ‘Pan-Cooked from Frozen’ meals deliver ultimate convenience and introduce a more versatile traditional cooking element vs conventional heat and eat meals.

“We’re delighted to launch our new chilled meals – our community has been requesting these dishes for a while, so it felt right to bring them to Sainsbury’s this way.”

Additionally, the brand is also growing its existing ranges across several retail and convenience channels.

The company’s high-protein sausage range has secured listings in Asda, and the frozen meals line has gained further distribution across Sainsbury’s and Onestop.

This expansion is part of the brand’s innovative NPD strategy to tap into mainstream mealtimes and drive growth across multiple categories. Earlier this month The Gym Kitchen unveiled its first-to-market high-protein Paprika Wedges.
