The Gym Kitchen has expanded its grocery presence with a wave of new food-to-go, yogurt and ready meal launches across Tesco and Asda.

The high-protein meals challenger has rolled out a new Lemon Cheesecake Yogurt and Meat Feast Pasta line in Tesco, alongside a Herby Chicken chilled meal in Asda.

The Lemon Cheesecake Yogurt, which launches in stores this week, joins the brand’s functional snacking range and is designed for breakfast, dessert and post-workout occasions. Each pot contains 20g of protein.

The Meat Feast Pasta has been added to The Gym Kitchen’s food-to-go range, offering a protein-led lunch option at a meal deal price point, with 28g of protein per serving.

Meanwhile, the Herby Chicken chilled meal contains 27g of protein and two of a shopper’s five-a-day, served with roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans and broccoli.

The brand’s BBQ Chicken Pasta chilled ready meal has also launched into Asda, while its ready-to-eat meat products, Chicken & Chorizo Meatballs and Hot Honey Ham, are being listed in Tesco Express stores.

The launches form part of The Gym Kitchen’s push to grow across chilled convenience, food-to-go and functional snacking, as demand for healthier, high-protein options continues to rise.

The Gym Kitchen founder Segun Akinwoleola said: “We’re delighted to roll out more exciting NPD across all-day snacking, dessert occasions, food-to-go and chilled ready meals, whilst increasing distribution of our existing range.

“Expansion across multiple meal occasions is a major part of our growth plan as consumers increasingly look for ways to fuel up with healthy, wholesome and tasty food options throughout the day.”
