Kara Greatorex, chief commercial officer at M&S Food, said: “For M&S, becoming a shopping list retailer is about offering core ingredients and products at the right price without compromising on quality.

“Over the last few years, we have improved the Remarksable Value range by lowering the price of core shopping trolley essentials, whilst retaining the quality and sourcing credentials M&S is known for.”

The Dropped and Locked offer has shopping trolley essentials which are permanently discounted items and it expanded by 37 products in Q3.

The Bigger Pack Better Value gives larger formats of products, including 1 kg of Penne Pasta for £1 and luxury quilted toilet tissue for £4.75.

According to Worldpanel data, M&S is the fastest-growing major retailer within the FMCG category among families year-over-year and plans to continue investing in affordable shopping.
