Italian food brand Napolina has unveiled a major new marketing campaign which will run throughout October and November.

This comes as the brand has experienced significant growth in recent years, with a 13.7 per cent increase over the last two years.

The marketing activity includes a national out-of-home and YouTube advertising campaign which aims to showcase Italian ingredients in British households.

The brand is shifting its funding towards high-impact advertising, as YouTube is now the second most-watched platform in the UK, behind the BBC and ahead of ITV.

Jeremy Gibson, marketing director at Princes Group said: “This six-figure investment into the brand, across a two-year period, represents a significant milestone for us.

“After three years without significant ATL support, we’re demonstrating our commitment to Napolina, our retail partners, and crucially, to our consumers by making a bold statement about our ambitions.”

Napolina’s ‘Your Bolognaise will Thank You’ creative will be the centre of the campaign and will highlight the chopped tomato can.

This creative showcases the importance of tinned tomato in everyday dinners and emphasises that tomatoes are an essential part of Italian meals.

On YouTube there will be an advertisement showing a British at-home cook who demonstrates how to make spaghetti bolognaise and why selecting the right tomato is essential.

The OOH investments will be placed in high-footfall locations, including UK train stations Liverpool Central, Manchester Piccadilly, Kings Cross and Grand Central Birmingham.

Additionally, there will be billboards which are in close proximity to local stockists, including Liverpool’s Staney Road and Prescot Road.
