Heinz Beanz has announced a partnership with Team Grassroots to support youth football teams across the UK.

As part of the sponsorship, Heinz will distribute over 10,000 training bibs, 8,000 footballs and 1,000 ball carriers to local youth teams for players aged 6 and above for the country.

Team Grassroots is one of the UK’s leading independent organisations that backs community football.

This move aims to ensure the next generation of young football players are prepared for their matches.

Alessandra de Druille, head of meals at Kraft Heinz, said: “For decades, Beanz have played a memorable role in fuelling the next generation. That’s especially true in football culture across Britain.

“Whether it’s a quick breakfast before a Sunday morning kick-off or a pre-match ritual followed by some of the country’s biggest players, Beanz have long been part of the journey of fuelling the future, and grassroots football is where that journey begins for so many.

“Through our partnership with Team Grassroots, we’re proud to help provide the equipment teams need to give young players the best possible start.”

The partnership aims to provide essential equipment where it is needed, and the deal will support the coaches, volunteers, parents and players who are a part of the game.

According to the brand, Heinz beans have been an essential part of footballers’ routines from the start to the end of the game.

Paul Kirton, founder of Team Grassroots, said: “Matchdays are powered by volunteers, parents, coaches and players who give up their time in all weathers, so partnering with Heinz – a brand already synonymous with warmth, comfort and bringing people together, feels completely natural.”
