Aldi launches cut-price tequila range for National Tequila Day
Aldi is rolling out a cut-price tequila line-up ahead of National Tequila Day, with its award-winning Cavalo Tequila Blanco leading the range.
The discounter’s Cavalo Tequila Blanco, priced at £11.99 for 50cl, was recently named Best Supermarket Tequila and Best Value Tequila in Good Housekeeping’s Tequila Taste Test.
Aldi said the bottle offers shoppers a 31 per cent saving compared with Sierra Silver Tequila, which is priced at £17.50 for 50cl.
Aldi is positioning the spirit as an affordable option for summer serves including Margaritas and Palomas, and to mark National Tequila Day on 24 July.
Aldi is also bringing back its Premium Agave Strawberry Flavour Cream Liqueur, priced at £7.99 for 50cl.
The product, which returns to shelves from 16 July, blends cream, strawberry flavour and agave, and can be served chilled, over ice cream or in dessert cocktails.
Aldi said the liqueur is 44 per cent cheaper than Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream Liqueur, which is priced at £14.25 for 50cl.
Both Aldi’s Cavalo Tequila Blanco and Premium Agave Strawberry Flavour Cream Liqueur will be available in stores nationwide from 16 July, while stocks last.
