Waitrose launches new YouTube cooking series ‘Let’s Cook’

News

Waitrose has launched a new weekly YouTube series designed to help shoppers become more confident and creative in the kitchen.

Let’s Cook premieres today, 16 June 2026, with new five to eight-minute episodes dropping weekly on the grocer’s YouTube channel.

The flavour-led instructional series will focus on everyday hero ingredients, showing viewers how to use simple kitchen foundations and flavour pairings to create quick dinners.

The series will feature Waitrose food talent including Will Torrent, Alex Szrok, Charmaine Katz, Alison Oakervee and Katie Bishop, who also appear across Your Week In Food and Waitrose Food Magazine.

Each episode will focus on a single staple ingredient, with recipes including Smash Burger Tacos, Green Goddess Salad and Spiced Lamb with Yoghurt flatbreads.

The debut episode sees Charmaine Katz demonstrate how to make Smash Burger Tacos using British beef mince, with a focus on building a crisp, caramelised crust.

Waitrose said the series has been designed to move away from rigid recipes and help its customers cook more intuitively.

Waitrose head of creative and content Murray Stevens said: “With Let’s Cook, we wanted to ditch the polished, stuffy studio vibe and get back to what matters, the absolute joy of cooking.

“We’re working with our brilliant Waitrose Partners and some of the best creative talent in the industry to keep things accessible, authentic, and genuinely fun, showing just how brilliant everyday ingredients can be.

“It’s less about rigid, follow-the-steps recipes and more about giving our customers the confidence to raid their own cupboards and get stuck in.

“We want everyone to look at their kitchen and see it for what it is, a playground for their next great meal.”

Waitrose said the production will use a more informal, behind-the-scenes style, taking viewers into different parts of the kitchen including the fridge and cupboards.

The grocer has partnered with the food-content team behind Jamie Oliver’s YouTube productions for the series.

Waitrose, which is part of the John Lewis Partnership, operates 320 shops and a growing online business. The grocer also works with partners including Welcome Break and Shell.
