Greek and Mediterranean fine food manufacturer Odysea has partnered with Waitrose to launch a co-branded Sheep’s Milk Feta.

This move comes as the demand for premium feta products for everyday consumption is increasing among British consumers.

The searches on Waitrose for ‘feta cheese’ have increased by 75 per cent year-on-year, while the searches for ‘feta recipes’ have increased tenfold compared to the same time last year.

Panos Manuelides, founder of Odysea, said: “Having partnered with Waitrose for over a decade, this launch marks an exciting next step and one that reflects our dedication to providing authentic and premium Greek foods to UK food lovers.

“We’re proud of our collaboration with Waitrose, and together, we’ve brought Odysea’s traditional Sheep’s Milk Feta into the Waitrose No.1 range in a way that celebrates its heritage and meets the highest standards in craftsmanship.”

The new product was designed to offer a premium quality, being crafted according to traditional methods in Thessaly.

The feta was manufactured only with sheep’s milk, which gives off a creamier texture and milder, richer flavour than feta with goat’s milk, according to the business.

The Odysea and Waitrose No.1 Greek Sheep’s Milk Feta is now available in Waitrose stores across the country and online for £3.50 per 200g.
