Kerrygold unveils new Cream Cheese
Kerrygold has launched a cream cheese designed to accompany breakfast and lunch meals, which marks the brand’s expansion into a new dairy category.
The Kerrygold Cream Cheese is set to launch in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK from 22 April onwards for £2.50 and will expand to Morrisons in May.
This move aims to meet the increasing consumer demand for cream cheese products, with a sales growth of 4.8 per cent in value year on year according to research by Worldpanel.
UK consumers have increased their purchasing of cream cheese by 2.1 per cent over the past 12 months as they shift towards health and wellness.

Nicola Blackmore-Squires, Ornua Foods UK MD, said: “In line with our mission of driving the brand’s Irish grass-fed difference in more categories, we are excited to introduce Kerrygold Cream Cheese to the UK.
“Like our famous butter, Kerrygold Cream Cheese is made from the milk of Irish grass-fed cows, which gives it a unique, flavourful, indulgent taste and smooth, creamy texture.
“By leveraging Kerrygold’s values of naturalness, simplicity and demonstrable provenance, we believe our latest launch will be ‘the new gold standard in cream cheese’.”
This comes after research from Ornua revealed that three out of four Kerrygold shoppers already buy cream cheese and are willing to pay more for quality.
The launch will be supported by a comprehensive brand marketing campaign.
