Prebiotic soda brand Living Things has launched a Cherry & Lime soda as it expands its range of functional soft drinks.

The new product aims to meet the increasing demand for cherry-flavoured drinks while tapping into the rising popularity of functional sodas ahead of the summer season.

This move is part of the brand’s continued flavour innovation strategy as the business aims to build momentum across grocery with healthy soft drinks.

According to the business, the sparkling prebiotic soda contains high fibre, low sugar, no sweeteners, less than 15 kcals per 100ml and all-natural flavours.

Ben Vear, co-founder and CEO of Living Things, said: “Cherry & Lime felt like the perfect flavour for us to launch for summer. It’s a great example of how we’re continuing to innovate the Living Things range with flavours that feel timely, exciting and relevant for retailers.

“As with every Living Things flavour, it had to deliver on taste first, while still bringing the functional benefits people expect from the brand. Cherry brings that nostalgic, familiar flavour people already love, while lime keeps it fresh, balanced and perfect for summer.”

The Cherry & Lime flavour will launch this week online and at independent retailers, followed by Morrisons and Whole Foods Market.

The new range is available in 330ml cans and 4 and 12 can multipacks for a recommended retail price of £2.29, £5.99 and £23.99, respectively.

This launch comes after the brand continues to grow its presence across grocery retailers and foodservice with listings in Asda Express and Morrisons.
