Waitrose reopens renovated Haslemere West Street store
Waitrose has opened the doors to its Haslemere West Street store after a multi-million-pound renovation which was designed to deliver upgrades for its customers.
The seven-week refurbishment brought a number of changes and improvements to the 10,000 sq. ft shop, which relaunched at 8am on 5 March.
Some of the transformation includes a modernised meat and fish counter with an expanded range, a redesigned bakery offering, and a ‘food lovers’ hub’ which has digital screens and recipe cards.
Additionally, there will be greater prominence for Waitrose’s award-winning wine selection, electronic shelf-edge labels and new refrigeration for improved energy efficiency.

Katherine Batey, branch manager at Waitrose, said: “We have been part of the community in Haslemere for almost 17 years, and on behalf of the entire team, I would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding while the store has been closed.
“We are delighted to welcome everyone back and can’t wait to introduce them to the new features with even more great food to enjoy.”
This is part of the high-street retailer’s nationwide investment in its estate, which includes nationwide refurbishments and new openings.
The most recent renovation comes as part of a £1bn, multi-year programme aimed at offering the best customer experience.
Shoppers will also be able to pick up John Lewis orders and Waitrose entertaining orders in store as well as home delivery from Deliveroo.
