The range will include balanced ready meals, food-to-go sandwiches and salads, breads and cheeses.

Morrisons and the sports nutrition brand plan to roll out more products later in the year.

Lizzy Massey, own brand director at Morrisons said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Applied Nutrition, a highly trusted, fast-growing brand in the health space, and this exclusive range enables us to provide even more choice and great value to our customers.”

The move is part of Applied Nutrition’s strategy to expand its customer reach, brand awareness and product distribution.

Additionally, according to the company, the licensing agreement requires no capital expenditure, which aligns with the business’ financial strategy.

The partnership comes after Applied Nutrition delivered strong full-year results ahead of expectations in its most recent financial update.
