Unilever reshuffles marketing leadership team

Unilever has announced changes to its leadership team, with Leandro Barreto, the chief marketing officer for the Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group, expanding his role.

He will take on the new expanded role of CMO, Unilever and Beauty & Wellbeing, from 1 January 2026.

Barreto brings 20 years of experience to the role and will oversee the FMCG giant’s marketing transformation plan and connect the Business Group with Unilever’s ambitions.

Following the appointment, Esi Eggleston Bracey, the chief growth and marketing officer, will depart from the position at the end of January 2026.

Bracey joined the business in 2018 to manage the Beauty & Personal Care department and will work alongside Barreto in January to ensure a smooth transition.

During her time as chief growth and marketing officer, she delivered strong results on increasing global demand, according to the company.

Fernando Fernandez, Unilever CEO said: “I would like to thank Esi for her significant contribution to Unilever and wish her every success in the next chapter of her career.

“With strong groundwork now in place, I know Leandro will make a big impact in his expanded role as we accelerate desire at scale and turn Unilever into a true marketing and sales machine.”
