Grind to open first standalone travel café in London
Coffee manufacturer Grind is set to open a new café in London, opposite Platform 5 in Waterloo station, one of the busiest commuter hubs in the country.
The new café will open on Monday (15 December) and run daily from 7am to 10pm.
This marks the firm’s first standalone travel café, with a seating capacity of 35 people.
The move is part of the brand’s strategy to expand its business beyond craft coffee.
David Abrahamovitch, CEO and founder of Grind, said: “Bringing Grind to one of the UK’s busiest stations marks a major milestone for us—we can’t wait to bring our craft coffee to thousands of commuters at Waterloo.

“We’re offering travellers a completely new experience: a place where they can grab a great coffee on the go, sit down for brunch, or unwind with cocktails after a long day.”
The new café will open in partnership with One Retail and grows the brand’s travel retail footprint beyond partnerships with British Airways and Dubai International Airport.
As part of the opening celebration, Grind will be offering their signature cocktail, an espresso martini, for £5 throughout December.
The brand operates 15 cafés, restaurants, cocktail bars, and coffee trucks within its portfolio as part of its business strategy to promote its craft coffee to more people around the world.
