Sustainable coffee brand Grind has made its first move beyond coffee with the launch of its debut cocktail-in-a-can, the Grind Espresso Martini.

The new ready-to-drink serve combines Grind’s signature coffee with alcohol to deliver a cocktail designed for convenience.

Available now at Waitrose, WHSmith, all Grind cafés and online via grind.co.uk, the launch marks the brand’s entry into the booming premium RTD and at-home cocktail market.

Described as “smooth, rich and velvety”, the business said its new Grind Espresso Martini is designed to appeal to consumers looking for quality without the shaker or queue, tapping into growing demand for on-the-go and at-home indulgence.

“The Espresso Martini has been part of Grind’s story since day one – it’s our signature cocktail and one of our most popular drinks in our cafés,” said CEO and founder David Abrahamovitch.

“We’ve served more than a million espresso martinis since our first café opened in Shoreditch, so we thought it was finally time to craft a ready-to-drink version so that everyone can enjoy our signature cocktail, wherever they are–whether they’re at home, at a party, on the go, or even on an airplane!”

The move signals a strategic expansion for the London-based brand, best known for its sustainable coffee pods and stylish cafés.

It also places Grind in a fast-growing category that has seen double-digit growth as shoppers seek “bar-quality” experiences at home.

Last year, the coffee brand expanded its products into Tesco stores as it looks to extend its reach further across the UK.

Speaking at the time, Abrahamovitch added: “This partnership with Tesco marks a really exciting step in Grind’s journey.

“To have the support of such a massive retailer in the UK is huge for us and we can’t wait to see our range in store, and get our speciality coffee into more hands and more homes.”
