Lidl has launched a range of kitchen gadgets and cooking equipment in the middle aisle, aimed at helping customers reduce cooking time on Christmas Day.

Items are priced between £1.99 and £54.99, including a Salter dual basket air fryer, buffet warmer and food storage containers.

The products come ahead of the discounter’s ‘Batch from Scratch’ cooking series, which will be airing on Channel 4 today (5 December).

As part of the festive special, which is a partnership with Lidl and Channel 4, the hosts Joe Swash and Suzanna Mulholland will be sharing time- and cost-saving tips for shoppers.

Mulholland said: “Christmas doesn’t have to feel stressful and chaotic. With a little forward planning, you can stay ahead of the game and approach the festive season feeling calm, organised, and fully in control.

Additionally, the hosts will be sharing advice on how to spend under 30 minutes making Christmas meals and cut down on waste and stretch your festive food shop.

Mulholland will offer viewers advice on how to create space for meal preparation storage in cupboards and freezer drawers to ensure there’s reduced cleaning to practise after dinner.
